When Micro needling was being developed it was called Dry Needling. But that is also a term Acupuncturist use. Since it was a contradiction it was renamed to Micro needling or Inkless tattooing. The name is derived from small or "Micro" needles are used to create small injuries on the skin in certain depths and forces. Forcing the body to rebuild where it is needled. Will it Hurt? Nikki has been properly trained in the use of topical anesthetics to keep your discomfort minimal, if existent at all. Most people just feel a little pressure. You will have redness like a wind burn or mild abrasion to the area when we finish, diminishing after 24 hours or so. Can Micro needling repair Vitiligo? In some cases it does stimulate melanin production. It does take several sessions to know if it will do so in your body (everyone is different) . So to be fair to the process, 3 sessions spaced 30 days in between are recommended. If you are having good results you can do it as many times as you like until you are satisfied with your results. Is Micro needling acceptable for any skin type ? No. Unfortunately, some ethnicities can really hyper pigment from any kind of injury to the skin. If you think you may be prone to that, it's suggested you do a test patch area of 1"x1" prior to committing to larger areas. This can be the case with anyone, but in particular this would apply to Asian, Native American, and some African American skin tones. Can I cover it with makeup during healing It is not the best after care or recommended. But, if an unavoidable situation arises, makeup that comes from a single pump is preferred and absolutely no sponge or brush applicators. Clean hands only. |
